SAVVY Oral Solutions in 2010 presented its new line of prototypes Columbus springs at the 9th European Society of Lingual Orthodontics ESLO annual meeting held in London.
Present as bronze sponsor SAVVY Oral Solutions received positive feedbacks form both international leaders of lingual orthodontics and academics. At the same event, Dr Paola Chiaramonte presented, for first time, the result of years of use of the segmented technique with double arch both in lingual and traditional treatments to the impressed delegates.
Torque and intrusion (or extrusion) of teeth of the front sextant were predictably and quickly achievable with the combined and simultaneous contributions of the arch flexibility and the spring adaptability, concepts on which Columbus springs' idea is based on.
SAVVY Oral Solutions in 2013 was present at the Italian society of orthodontics -SIDO- with its certified line of Columbus springs and courses of mirrorless photography in orthodontics and dentistry.
At the 10th Eslo annula meeting held in Frankfurt in 2012, Dr A. Recchia, Dr P. Chiaramonte and Dr M. Recchia presented a poster with further developments of the idea of Columbus springs.
